Airport Taxi Fixed Fares in Europe 2026: Official Prices
Several European cities fix the taxi fare from the airport, so the price is agreed before the ride and traffic does not change it. This table lists the ones we have checked against the city, the airport or the ministry that sets them, with the day we checked. Where we have a full guide, the airport name links to it.

What "fixed" means in each city
- Athens: one fare to the area inside the inner ring, with a higher night rate from midnight to 05:00. It rose by €10 on 18 September 2026. Trips to Piraeus and the other ports are metered.
- Rome: fixed fares from Fiumicino and Ciampino to anywhere inside the Aurelian Walls, supplements included, plus a set fare from Fiumicino to the cruise port at Civitavecchia.
- Paris: flat fares between each airport and the Right Bank or Left Bank of the Seine, in force since 1 February 2026.
- Naples: the driver must be asked for the fixed fare at the start; night rates, luggage and the airport supplement are included, motorway tolls are not.
- Malta: a fixed price for every town on the island, paid at the airport taxi booth, with an administrative fee added.
- Barcelona: only the airport to cruise terminal run is fixed. Trips into the city go on the meter, with a minimum fare from the airport.
How we check these fares
Every figure comes from the body that sets it: a city council decree, a ministerial decision published in the official gazette, or the airport operator's own price list. Frequently asked questions
Which European airports have fixed taxi fares?
Of the airports in this table, Athens, Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Orly, Naples and Malta set fixed taxi fares to their city centres or main destinations. Barcelona fixes only the run to the cruise terminal; trips into the city go on the meter.
Are fixed airport taxi fares per person or per car?
Per car. Every fare in this table is a price for the vehicle, so a group of three or four pays the same as one passenger.
Do the fixed fares include night rates and luggage?
It depends on the city. Athens has a separate night fare from midnight to 05:00. Naples includes night rates, luggage and the airport supplement, but not motorway tolls. Rome's fares include supplements. Check the notes for each city below.
