Milan has three airports, and the region of Lombardy sets fixed taxi fares from two of them: €114 from Malpensa and €128 from Bergamo Orio al Serio to any street in Milan. Linate, the city airport about 10 km from the centre, has no fixed fare into Milan, so the meter runs; metro line M4 also links it with the centre.
What the fixed fares include
A fixed fare replaces the meter for a direct trip with no stops and includes everything: motorway tolls, the night and holiday rates and the time the taxi takes to reach you. No supplements may be added, and the fares work in both directions. If you ask the driver to stop or change route on the way, the meter applies instead. Linate also has a fixed fare of €68 to the Fiera Milano trade fair in Rho.
Linate: taxi on the meter or metro M4
From Linate the meter starts at €4.10 on weekdays from 06:00 to 21:00, €6.60 on public holidays and €7.90 at night, then charges €1.32 per kilometre, or €34.48 an hour when the taxi is stopped in traffic, with higher rates once the meter passes €17.35. Any taxi ride from Malpensa, Linate or Bergamo costs at least €16, and motorway tolls are extra on the meter. Metro line M4 runs from the airport to the centre for €2.20, every 1–3 minutes on weekday daytimes.
Train and coach from Malpensa
The Malpensa Express runs from both terminals to Milano Cadorna and Milano Centrale for €15, with four trains an hour across the two lines. From Terminal 1 it takes 38 minutes to Cadorna and about 54 minutes to Centrale. Coaches to Milano Centrale cost less: €10 with Malpensa Shuttle, every 30 minutes from 04:50 to 01:20 at Terminal 1, and from €4 online with Terravision.
From Bergamo airport
Bergamo Orio al Serio is about 50 km from Milan by road. Besides the €128 taxi, coaches run to Milano Centrale every 30 minutes for €9 with Autostradale or from €5 online with Terravision, in 50 to 60 minutes.
Uber
Uber says airport pickups and drop-offs are available at Malpensa and Linate. Its prices change with demand, so compare them with the fixed fare before you book.
Taxi or pre-booked transfer?
In Milan the fixed-fare taxi is usually cheaper than a pre-booked car. A private transfer from Malpensa into Milan was quoted at €128 for a sedan, for an afternoon arrival a week ahead, against the €114 taxi; booked about three weeks ahead, the same ride came to €110. From Bergamo the transfer was €149 against €128. A transfer still fixes the price before you fly and puts a driver in arrivals, and for five to seven people a minivan (€169 from Malpensa) saves taking two taxis.

How we check these prices
The taxi fares come from the list published by Regione Lombardia (D.G.R. XII/2569 of 17 June 2024, confirmed for 2026). We re-read that source before every update; the last check was on 2026-10-14. If a driver quotes you something different, tell us and we will check the source again.
