Travelpayouts Review 2026: Our First $1,500+ in Bookings
How our new English taxi fare pages turned 633 clicks into $1,556 in bookings with Travelpayouts: real numbers, our Drive test and the referral bonus.
This post is sponsored by Travelpayouts, who asked us to write about our experience with their platform. The figures come from our own Travelpayouts account and analytics, and the opinions are ours. Links to travelpayouts.com on this page are referral links.

Can a small, brand-new English website earn anything from travel affiliates? Four months ago we didn't know. Hemen Hesap started as a Turkish site of everyday calculators for salaries, taxes and taxi fares, and its taxi fare pages are the most visited part of it. In June 2026 we opened an English section for travellers, with the same idea: what should the ride from a Turkish airport cost, and what does a pre-booked transfer cost instead?
Since then our English pages have generated $1,556.65 in transfer bookings through Travelpayouts. In this review we share exactly how: the pages and the link placements that earned the most, our five weeks with Drive, what we changed along the way, and how the referral program works. Every number comes from our own Travelpayouts account.
Our Travelpayouts results at a glance
- $1,556.65 in transfer bookings through our links between 11 June and 20 October 2026
- 20 completed bookings carrying 50 passengers, plus 3 that were cancelled
- $124.52 in commission, 8% of the booking value
- About 3 bookings for every 100 clicks on our transfer links
- Biggest single booking: a $319.65 transfer for two people in Naples
- Visits to our English pages: 46 in June, 510 in September
- October 2026 is already our best month
What is Travelpayouts?
Travelpayouts is an affiliate network built for travel content. Instead of applying to every hotel site, tour platform and transfer company one by one, you join once and work with more than 90 travel brands from a single dashboard, with one balance and automated monthly payouts. Signing up is free, and Travelpayouts says it takes a couple of minutes.
It suits travel blogs, and it suits sites like ours too. Most of our English pages are fare calculators and airport route pages, and they have brought bookings every month since July.
Why we chose Travelpayouts
A taxi fare page has one obvious next step for the reader: booking the ride. We wanted a private transfer company that meets people at arrivals for a fixed price, and Travelpayouts gave us Welcome Pickups, which covers the airports we write about most, from Istanbul and Antalya to Naples and Faro.
The second reason was having everything else under the same roof. Hotels, car hire and eSIMs sit in the same account, with the same reports. Some brands review each site before they approve it, and at first 18 programs, the big hotel brands among them, told us our site needed more travel content. We kept adding guides, and by early October every program in our account was connected.
Our real earnings, month by month
All of our bookings so far came through Welcome Pickups, at a commission of 8% of the booking value. The first one arrived on 5 July: four passengers in Antalya, booked on a phone by a visitor from France. Two more came in the same day, and one of those was later cancelled.
| Month | Bookings | Commission |
|---|---|---|
| June | 0 | $0 |
| July | 6 | $35.14 |
| August | 6 | $26.20 |
| September | 4 | $25.41 |
| October (1 to 20) | 4 | $37.77 |
| Total | 20 | $124.52 |
Of that total, $98.95 is confirmed and $25.57 is still pending. About 3 in 100 clicks on our transfer links became a booking, and the average click earned about $0.20. Travelpayouts marks the clicks it identifies as bots, and we left those out of every count in this post.
The traffic behind these numbers is still young. Google Analytics counted 46 visits to our English pages in June, 378 in July, 337 in August, 510 in September and 504 in the first 20 days of October. (We leave out two countries that send us mostly automated traffic.) From 1 September to 20 October that works out at about $62 in commission for every 1,000 visits. People who check a taxi fare are usually about to travel, and it shows in the numbers.
The pages that earned the most
Breaking commission down by page was the part of this review we enjoyed most. Two very different pages share the top spot.
| Page | Bookings | Commission |
|---|---|---|
| Naples airport taxi fares | 1 | $25.57 |
| Istanbul Airport to Sultanahmet | 5 | $24.94 |
| Sabiha Gökçen to Taksim | 1 | $10.16 |
| Antalya Airport to Side | 2 | $9.92 |
| Antalya Airport to Lara | 3 | $8.84 |
Two early Antalya bookings came through links without a page tag, so they count in our totals but not in this table.
Naples: one booking, our biggest
Our Naples page went live in late September and has had only 10 transfer clicks. One of them turned into a $319.65 transfer for two, and that booking earned $25.57, slightly more than all of our Turkish bookings together in September. Transfers in Italy simply cost more than the typical Turkish ride, and 8% of a bigger fare is a bigger commission. Across all of our European pages, a click is worth about $0.38, compared with about $0.17 on the Turkish ones. It is one reason we keep adding European airports: Rome, Faro and Milan followed in October.
Istanbul Airport to Sultanahmet: steady bookings
The ride from Istanbul Airport to the old town is the first trip for many visitors to the city, and our page for it has brought five bookings since July, with at least one in every month. Small, regular bookings like these keep the account moving while the bigger ones come and go.
What we took from both: a page that answers one specific trip converts well, and a higher-value destination can earn as much from a single booking as a busy route earns in a month.
Where the booking link sits matters
Our route pages have a fare calculator that shows the taxi fare next to the price of a private transfer. The booking link inside that result earned the most. A short answer box at the top of the page, added on 5 September, comes second, and a sticky bar at the bottom of the screen gets plenty of clicks but fewer bookings.
| Placement | Clicks | Bookings |
|---|---|---|
| Link in the calculator result | 213 | 8 |
| Answer box at the top of the page | 148 | 5 |
| Sticky bar at the bottom of the screen | 110 | 2 |
| Older links without a placement tag | 103 | 5 |
| Hub pages, comparisons and other spots | 59 | 0 |
We can see this because every link carries its own sub_id. Ours look like istanbul_airport_to_sultanahmet_calculator, and the Travelpayouts statistics API returns every click and booking with that tag, plus the page, the country and the device. We pull these numbers with a short script more often than we'd like to admit, and for a small site this level of detail is one of the best things about the platform. It tells you which page and which button earned each booking.
Our five weeks with Travelpayouts Drive
Drive is a Travelpayouts script that you add to your site once; you then choose in your account which tools it runs. Its tools include:
- Switched Links, which turn ordinary links to travel brands into affiliate links
- Linked Keywords, which add affiliate links to travel keywords in your text
- Recommendations in Articles, which place relevant travel offers inside your posts
- Targeted Offers, which open a relevant offer in a new tab
- Content analytics, a report of visitors, clicks and bookings for every page
We installed Drive on 12 September and ran it on the Maximum setting until 16 October.
Content analytics quickly became our favourite part. It puts unique visitors, clicks and bookings for each page side by side, so you can see at a glance which pages turn readers into bookings. In those five weeks it counted 682 unique visitors on our pages, 310 partner clicks and 5 bookings. On the Naples page it showed 56 unique visitors, 24 partner clicks and the booking that became our biggest so far.
Targeted Offers, mostly for Trip.com, brought 148 clicks in that time. They hadn't turned into bookings by the end of our test, and we think that comes down to our audience: someone checking a taxi fare from the airport has usually booked the flight and the hotel already. Other publishers report good results with these offers on destination guides and itineraries, where readers are still planning. When our test ended on 16 October, we switched Drive off for now. As our travel guides grow, Drive's offers should fit the site better, and switching it back on takes the same single script tag.
The Travelpayouts team
Someone from the Travelpayouts partner team got in touch with us directly and suggested we try Drive. When they later invited us to write this review, they didn't send a script or talking points. They asked us to share our own experience, results included, which is what you are reading.
Getting paid
On 21 October our confirmed commission stood at $98.95. Travelpayouts pays out automatically every month once your balance passes the minimum for your payout method, so there is nothing to request. The methods depend on your country of residence. For a bank transfer to a USD or EUR account the minimum is 400 dollars or euros, and Travelpayouts covers the fee its own bank charges; for PayPal the minimum is $50.
The Travelpayouts referral program: up to $100 for you
If you're thinking about joining, sign up through a referral link. A new partner who joins through one can get up to $100 in bonuses as their account starts earning, and the partner who invited them can get up to $600. These are the stages in the rules that took effect on 24 March 2026.
| You get | When |
|---|---|
| $25 | After you add and verify your website and install the Travelpayouts script (you can withdraw it once you have earned $50 in paid commission) |
| $25 | When your paid commission reaches $100 |
| $50 | When your paid commission reaches $1,000 |
| The partner who invited you gets | When your paid commission reaches |
|---|---|
| $100 | $500 |
| $200 | $1,500 |
| $300 | $3,000 |
The inviting partner's bonus for each stage is paid after the new partner has withdrawn money from their balance. Joining through our link costs you nothing, and all of these bonuses come from Travelpayouts.
Pros and things to know
What we like
- One free account gives you more than 90 travel brands, one dashboard and one balance.
- The reporting is detailed: a sub_id on every link, and an API that returns each click and booking.
- Content analytics shows which pages turn visitors into bookings.
- The team is easy to reach and does what it says it will.
- Payouts are automatic every month once you pass your minimum.
- New partners who join through a referral link can get up to $100 in bonuses.
Good to know
- Some brands review your site before approving it, so a new site may start with fewer programs.
- Match the partner to the page. Tour, ticket, car hire and eSIM cards on our transfer pages got 208 clicks between July and October without a booking, so we took most of them off those pages. Hotel and car hire offers now live in our travel guides instead.
- The payout minimum depends on the method; for a bank transfer it is 400 dollars or euros.
Our five lessons for new publishers
- Pick the partner that finishes the job your page starts. Our pages are about getting from the airport, so ours is a transfer company.
- Put the booking link next to the number the reader came for. Our calculator result link earns the most.
- Give every link a sub_id with the page and the placement, and judge placements by bookings as well as clicks.
- Expect some automated clicks. Travelpayouts flagged 17% of all our clicks as bots, so we work from its filtered numbers.
- Give a new section time. Our first click came on 11 June and our first booking on 5 July, and October is our best month so far.
Final verdict
For a small, new English section, Travelpayouts has given us what we needed: a transfer partner that fits our pages, reports that show which page and which button earned each booking, and a team that has kept its word. Our numbers are modest because our traffic is young, and October 2026 is already our best month so far.
If you write about travel, or about anything travellers need to work out before a trip, Travelpayouts is worth trying. You can join for free through our referral link and start with up to $100 in bonuses ahead of you.
Frequently asked questions
Is Travelpayouts legit?
In our experience, yes. Every booking appears in the reports with its status, and our commission from Welcome Pickups has been a steady 8% of the booking value. Payouts start automatically once the balance passes the minimum for your payout method; ours is still below the $400 minimum for a bank transfer, so our first payout is still ahead.
Can a small or new website join Travelpayouts?
Yes. Signing up is free, and we started earning with a brand-new English section. Some brands review your site before approving it: several asked us for more travel content at first and approved us once we had added more travel guides.
How much can a small site earn with Travelpayouts?
Our new English section generated $1,556.65 in bookings and $124.52 in commission between 11 June and 20 October 2026, about $0.20 per click on a transfer link and about $62 per 1,000 visits since September. Earnings depend on traffic and on how close your readers are to booking.
What is the minimum payout on Travelpayouts?
It depends on the payout method, and the methods available depend on your country of residence. The Travelpayouts help centre lists 400 USD or EUR for a bank transfer, $50 for PayPal and $10 for WebMoney. Payouts are sent automatically once your balance passes the minimum.
How does the Travelpayouts referral program work?
A new partner who signs up through a referral link can get up to $100 in bonuses as their account grows. The partner who invited them can get up to $600: $100, $200 and $300 when the new partner's paid commission reaches $500, $1,500 and $3,000. Each of those bonuses is credited after the new partner withdraws money.
Is Travelpayouts Drive worth installing?
It is easy to try, since it is a single script that you add once. Our favourite part was Content analytics, which shows visitors, clicks and bookings for each page. Other publishers report the best results from its Targeted Offers on sites where readers are still planning a trip; on our airport transfer pages they had not led to a booking after five weeks.
