Antalya Airport to Alanya: Taxi Fare & Transfer Cost

Alanya is the big resort city at the eastern end of the Antalya coast, and the one destination here where the airport choice matters as much as the transfer itself. From Antalya Airport it is about 127 km east along the D400: 100-130 minutes on a normal day, more on summer Saturdays when changeover traffic backs up around Manavgat and Side. Gazipasa-Alanya Airport (GZP) is only 43 km the other way, so check which code is on your ticket before you plan the ride.

Antalya transfer coverage

Distance is the whole story on this route. A metered taxi works out at roughly €159 (around 8,950 TL) on the outer-district tariff, while a pre-booked private transfer is €76–90 fixed - on a run this long the fixed price is not just cheaper, it is the only number you can budget before you fly. The calculator below puts current figures on both.

Arriving in Alanya

Alanya's hotel zone runs for more than 30 km along the D400, and the name of your hotel decides the last stretch far more than the word Alanya does. Coming from Antalya you pass the western resort villages first - Okurcalar, Incekum, Avsallar, Konakli - then the city itself with the castle peninsula and Cleopatra Beach, then Oba, Tosmur and Kestel, and finally Mahmutlar and Kargicak to the east. A hotel in Mahmutlar adds another 12 km beyond the centre; one in Avsallar is more than 20 km short of it. Give the exact hotel name when you book or board.

Once you are in, getting around is easy and cheap: the numbered municipal buses and the dolmus minibuses run the full length of the coast road, and within the centre the harbour, the Red Tower, the castle cable car and the Damlatas cave are walkable or a short taxi hop apart. The Antalya run is the expensive leg of the trip; day trips back west to Side, Aspendos or Antalya's old town are sold by every hotel and agency and cost far less than the private ride you took in.

Before you fly

Have data the moment you land

A Turkey eSIM installed before departure connects as soon as the plane doors open, so you can message your driver, open the meter estimate or ring the hotel without hunting for airport Wi-Fi. Airalo's Turkey plans run on the Turk Telekom network, from 3 to 30 days with unlimited-data options; it is data only and needs an unlocked, eSIM-capable phone, so check compatibility before you buy.

Avoid the common scams

  • On 127 km the meter is the wrong tool. Drivers on the airport rank will often propose a 'fixed' cash price for Alanya - it is usually at or above what the meter would show, and well above a pre-booked transfer. If you have not booked, insist on the meter or walk back to the rank; the calculator above tells you what the meter should read.
  • Check your airport code. Package holidays to Alanya land at both Antalya (AYT) and Gazipasa (GZP), and the transfer from GZP is a third of the distance. If your flight goes to Antalya, do not let anyone sell you a 'quick' 90-minute ride: two hours is realistic in season, and a fixed price protects you from the traffic that a meter would bill.
  • No night tariff applies anywhere in Antalya province, so a 2 a.m. arrival costs the same on the meter as noon - but the rank can be thin at that hour, and a two-hour drive with a tired driver is not where you want to economise. Late arrivals are the strongest case for the pre-booked car.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a taxi from Antalya Airport to Alanya?

On the current outer-district tariff, the 127 km metered run works out around 8,950 TL, about €159, before any waiting time. Drivers frequently quote a flat cash price for Alanya instead; the calculator above shows what the meter should read so you can judge the offer.

How long does it take from Antalya Airport to Alanya?

Plan for 100-130 minutes. The route follows the D400 coast road east through Serik and Manavgat and past Side; it is fast and mostly dual carriageway, but on summer Saturdays the changeover traffic around Manavgat can add 20-30 minutes, and hotels east of the centre (Mahmutlar, Kargicak) add another 15 minutes.

Is a pre-booked transfer cheaper than a taxi to Alanya?

Yes, and by a wide margin on this route. A fixed transfer at €76–90 undercuts the €159 metered fare, the price is locked before you fly, and the driver waits at arrivals with your name. The only scenario where the meter competes is a solo traveller who finds a driver willing to run it on empty roads.

Should I fly into Gazipasa (GZP) instead for Alanya?

If your dates allow it, yes. Gazipasa-Alanya Airport is about 43 km from the centre and 40-55 minutes by road, against 127 km and two hours from Antalya. GZP is a small, largely seasonal airport with fewer flights and a thin taxi rank, so pre-booking matters even more there - but the ride itself is a fraction of the cost and time.

My hotel is in Mahmutlar, Avsallar or Konakli - does the price change?

For a metered taxi, yes: the meter reflects the exact distance, and Mahmutlar is about 12 km beyond the centre while Avsallar and Konakli are 12-25 km before it. Transfer operators usually price the whole Alanya zone within the same €76–90 band, with the far eastern villages sometimes a little higher. Give the precise hotel name when you book.
