Booking a hotel in Turkey from abroad

Booking.com stopped accepting hotel reservations from users inside Türkiye after a 2017 court ruling, while bookings for Turkish properties made from abroad remain available, Hürriyet Daily News reported on 6 October 2026. Book your airport hotel before you fly rather than after you land. A new law on foreign booking platforms is expected to take effect on 1 January 2027, so this may change.

Booking.com's Late Escape Deals also cover participating properties in Istanbul. Discounts start from 15% off the price before taxes and charges, for stays between 1 October 2026 and 7 January 2027, booked by 7 January 2027.
