Dalaman Airport to Fethiye & Oludeniz: Every Option in 2026

Dalaman Airport (DLM) is the airport for Fethiye and the resorts around it: Çalış Beach, Hisarönü, Ovacık and the Blue Lagoon at Ölüdeniz. Fethiye is about 50 km south-east along the D400, and Ölüdeniz is another 15 km on, over the hill. The trip costs anything from ₺300 on the airport bus to ₺3,500 for a taxi.

There are four realistic options: the airport bus to Fethiye's bus station, a taxi from the airport rank at the co-op's fixed fare, a pre-booked private transfer, or a hire car.

Airport bus to Fethiye: HAVAŞ and Muttaş

Two operators run the airport bus to Fethiye: HAVAŞ and Muttaş, the transport company of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality. Both charge adults ₺300 (the tariff in force since 18 May 2026), and both terminate at Fethiye's intercity bus station, the otogar. HAVAŞ stops at Dalaman town, Göcek and Günlükbaşı and takes about an hour. Muttaş stops a few more times and is slightly slower. The fare to Göcek is ₺220.

Buses leaving the airport have no fixed timetable. HAVAŞ runs a bus for every domestic arrival, so if you connect through Istanbul or Ankara on a domestic flight, one will leave after your flight. Direct flights from the UK and Europe are international, and after one of those you may have to wait for the next domestic landing. Ask at the HAVAŞ desk in arrivals how long that will be. HAVAŞ sells tickets at the desk and on the bus; Muttaş takes cash or card on board.

The return trip runs to a published timetable: about a dozen buses a day leave Fethiye otogar for the airport, some of them in the small hours.

From Fethiye bus station to Çalış, Hisarönü or Ölüdeniz

Since the bus ends at the otogar, most people need a second leg. Dolmuşes, the shared minibuses that serve the whole Fethiye area, run to Ölüdeniz, Hisarönü and Ovacık throughout the day from around the otogar and the town centre. The ride to Ölüdeniz takes roughly 20–30 minutes, and you pay the driver in cash. A taxi from the otogar rank takes about 25 minutes to Ölüdeniz and drops you at the door. Çalış Beach is about 5 km from the centre, a short ride by either.

With luggage after a long flight, that second leg is the main argument for going door to door, especially to Hisarönü and Ölüdeniz, where the road climbs over the hill and then winds down to the lagoon.

Airport taxi: the co-op's fixed fares

The Muğla/Dalaman Airport Taxi Cooperative runs the taxi rank at the airport and charges fixed fares from a published list instead of using the meter. A car costs ₺3,000 to Fethiye centre, ₺3,250 to the Letoonia/Hillside area and ₺3,500 to Hisarönü and Ölüdeniz, and you pay at your destination. The co-op also lists these fares in euros, pounds and dollars. You don't need to book, and the rank is just outside arrivals. Tell the driver your exact area before the bags go in, because each area has its own line on the list.

Pre-booked private transfer

A private transfer booked in advance costs €45–48 to Fethiye and €52–61 to Ölüdeniz. The price is per vehicle, not per person; the Fethiye and Ölüdeniz route pages set it against the meter. The driver tracks your flight and waits in arrivals with a name sign, so a delayed charter costs nothing extra, and you are dropped at your hotel door, including in the hill villages. Prices vary slightly with the travel date.

For one person the bus is far cheaper. Split between three or four people, a transfer costs only a few hundred lira more each than the bus, and there is no wait at the airport or change at the otogar.

Hire car

Rental desks are in the arrivals hall, and the D400 to Fethiye is straight and well kept. A car is worth it if you plan day trips along the coast. If you are staying in Ölüdeniz, the last stretch down to the lagoon is a steep series of switchbacks, which makes for a hard first drive after a flight.

Which one should you choose?

If you are travelling alone with light bags on a domestic flight, take the bus: ₺300 is a tenth of the co-op taxi's ₺3,000. For two people the bus still costs much less, ₺600 in total, provided you don't mind waiting at the airport and changing at the otogar.

Families, groups of three or four, anyone going to Hisarönü or Ölüdeniz with luggage and anyone landing late on an international flight are better off going door to door. The co-op taxi needs no booking and its fare is fixed in lira. The transfer is a fixed price in euros, agreed before you fly, and the driver watches your flight. Practical tips

• The airport bus is timed to domestic arrivals. After an international flight, ask at the HAVAŞ desk when the next one leaves before you wait for it.
• Check which area your hotel is in (Fethiye centre, Çalış, Hisarönü, Ovacık or Ölüdeniz beach) and give it when you book or get into a taxi. It changes both the fare and the drive.
• Co-op taxi fares are paid at the end of the ride. Confirm the listed price for your area before setting off.
• Carry small lira notes for the dolmuş; you pay the driver in cash.
• For the bus back to the airport, check the day's departures from Fethiye otogar on havas.net and allow extra time for summer traffic on the D400.
